Peter Mac’s Paediatric Film Production program transforms a child’s radiotherapy treatment (which can be daunting) into a magical adventure to make it a bit less scary. Kids can choose to be a superhero or select one of their interests (like music) as the basis for a film about their radiotherapy treatment.
A movie is then produced showing each child’s personal experience with radiotherapy at Peter Mac which is presented to the family at the end of their treatment along with a certificate of bravery. The program has been made possible with the support of KOALA Kids, Auxiliary and a grant from Robert Connor Dawes Foundation. Check out Little Big Steps co-founder Cass Howcroft’s son Super Lochie hanging out with his Spiderman brother Aidan, all made by Videographer and Medical Radiation Practitioner, Daniel Sapkaroski.
Well done Lochie on getting through another major cancer milestone!
