On Saturday 25th November the Minderoo Foundation supported a 5km walk through ‘Baxter’s Army’ to raise funds for Little Big Steps. The Baxter’s Army is led by paediatric brain cancer survivor Baxter Hutchinson, a WA based advocate for brain cancer.
Baxter’s Army were undeterred by the scorching 30 degree heat, turning up in impressive numbers to the 5km walk. They all powered through the challenge and walked with the goal to support the lives of Western Australian children during and post cancer diagnosis.
Baxter recently received the incredible news that he is now clear of cancer. His presence on the day inspired Baxter’s Army to push through the heat and fundraise enough to secure a Perth based physiotherapist to support children fighting cancer.
